Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime

CATCH is commissioned by the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC), which is responsible for commissioning victim's services in London. 

MOPAC's hate crime dashboard displays up to date statistics on hate crime in London, such as the number of hate crime offences by borough, the ethnicity and gender of victims, and the percentage of reported offenders that were cautioned or charged with an offence.

Hate crime and intolerance causes enormous harm to people and erodes the sense of community and diversity that is one of London’s most precious assets. In the world we live in today, the small minority who seek to divide us and victimise others because they are different are feeling emboldened.

We intend to challenge hate crime robustly, wherever and whenever it is encountered, and provide better support to its victims."

The CATCH pan-London Hate Crime Service is funded by the Mayor’s Office for Policing And Crime (MOPAC).  As a public authority, MOPAC is bound to have due regard to the need to eliminate discrimination, harassment and victimisation, and any conduct that is prohibited by or under the Equalities Act (2010).  That duty includes any services commissioned by MOPAC.

As such the Service will not work with, signpost or refer victims to any organisation that behaves in any way that is discriminatory or promotes intolerance or hostility towards any community or individual.
